Almost, Maine

It's Love, But Not Quite.

Playful and surreal experiences are commonplace in the world of Almost, Maine, where the citizens of Almost - not organized enough for a town, too populated for a wilderness - experience the life-altering power of the human heart. Propelled by the mystical energy of the aurora borealis, Almost, Maine is a series of loosely connected tales about love featuring some of the most humorous, plain-spoken, thoughtful, and sincere characters you'll ever meet. Moonlight & Magnolias

The Hilarious Almost True Story of the Making of Gone with the Wind.

Hollywood 1939: legendary producer David O. Selznick stopped production on his most anticipated movie, Gone with the Wind. Determined to produce a rewrite in five days, he engages the reluctant ace script doctor Ben Hecht (perhaps the only person in America who has not read the novel) and the movie’s new director Victor Fleming, poached from the set of The Wizard of Oz, where he’d been squabbling with Munchkins and coming to blows with Judy Garland. His reputation on the line, and with nothing but a stockpile of peanuts and bananas to sustain them, Selznick locks himself and his two collaborators in an office, and a hilarious marathon writing session ensues.  A can’t miss comedy. Driving Miss Daisy

A Touching, Totally Irresistable Story.

Winner of the 1988 Pulitzer Prize and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Play. Set in mid-century Atlanta, Driving Miss Daisy tells the story of an elderly Jewish matron, Daisy Werthan, and her chauffeur, Hoke Coleburn. At first, Daisy is none too happy about being forced to rely on a black man to get from one place to the next. Gradually, however, Hoke wins her over, and during the 25-year span of the play, the two develop a deep-rooted affection. This masterpiece is a delicate depiction of racial tensions, the passage of time, and the experience of aging. By Alfred Uhry.

Welcome to Popcorn Falls, a small American town, whose only claim to fame - their namesake waterfall - has dried up. And The Winner Is...

Mitch Albom delivers an offbeat comedy that skewers Hollywood egos and the movie business. Tyler Johnes, a self-absorbed actor who has finally been nominated for an Oscar, drops dead of a heart attack the night before the awards ceremony. He winds up in a peculiar sort of purgatory - an Irish pub that doesn't serve alcohol. Outraged at his bad luck and determined to know if he wins, he bargains with heaven's gatekeeper, the Irish bartender. What follows is a very funny take on the afterlife and judgment day.
